And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV)
Love One Another
The Bible makes it abundantly clear that God has designed us to be interdependent. I need you, and you need me, and we can only experience the fulness of what God has for us by engaging with one another the way that God has called us to. The New Testament has many “One Another Commands” that teach us how to relate to the church.
1 John 3:23, And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
Attend Church Services (Hebrews 10:24-25)
The services, studies and events at church are not intended to be shows or entertainment. It is not just about the time of singing together and teaching. Church is also about the interaction between members. Plan to come early, and stay late, develop friendships, and introduce yourself to people you don’t know.
Encourage, And Be Encouraged (Romans 1:11-12)
For water to remain fresh there must be a continual flow in, and out. Stagnant water will not quench anyone’s thirst! As God calls us to minister to one another it is important that we participate in both the giving and receiving of that ministry.
Get Involved In Serving (1 Corinthians 12)
You are unique and God has fashioned you for a special part of His work. Just like members of a physical body, God has designed each Christian to be a member of the Body of Christ. You have a specific place in God’s work and He enables you and gifts you to fulfill your role.
