Purpose
The heart at this year’s RETREAT, is to challenge, encourage and equip those who attend, to have an ANCHORED HOPE in Jesus Christ.
Understanding Anchors:
- The rougher the weather, the more important the Anchor is.
- Anchors help prevent a ship from being wrecked & destroyed.
- Anchors help stabilize a ship
- Anchors help maintain a ships progress
- Anchors must be secure to the ship
During the time we live in, this understanding of an Anchor is very fitting. Unlike a ship though, that is anchored downward, we are to be anchored upward, in the Hope found only in Christ.
